Johnny Cash sang it best, “I’ve been everywhere, man!” And while I haven’t been to Kalamazoo or Baraboo or quite as many places as the Man In Black, I’ve climbed the Rockies, watched the corn and beans grow as an Illinoisan, rode colts in Texas and Colorado, and played hoops with Hoosiers. I have enjoyed all the life I’ve lived as an adventure, but I realized one thing was missing…my own piece of land. So I came home to Southern Ohio to raise my family as a Buckeye and start a new adventure.

Southern Ohio encompasses a diverse amount of land. Fertile, tillable ground is found along the Scioto and Ohio Rivers. Counties like Ross, Pike, Scioto, and Jackson also have a fair amount of agricultural land used to grow crops. Lawrence, Gallia, Meigs, Vinton and Athens Counties provide landowners some tillable soils and good grazing opportunities for cattle and sheep, but mostly provide huge blocks of timber encompassing thousands of acres. Along the Appalachian Plateau in all of these counties lies some of the best wildlife habitat in North America.

While living in various areas of our amazing United States, no matter where I laid down my head, I always dreamed of all the colors of fall.  It was the fog on the Ohio River, frost on the grass, combines shelling corn, weaning calves, crunching leaves under deer hooves, and sharing stories with buddies over Bob Evans hotcakes after a cold morning’s hunt, that brought me home to Gallia County.

Now, with my wife of 15 years and our 11-year-old son, our 67-acre home in Lawrence County is my “base camp” office. We all have different dreams of how and why we want to own land, and if you feel I can help you in any way possible to make that connection happen, please give me a call.
